Peskov: Vyshinsky's release - not a subject for exchanges with Kiev

According to the speaker of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, arrest of the head "RIA Novosti Ukraine" Kirill Vyshinsky in Ukraine is violation of the international rules as it is connected with journalism.

of the Head "RIA Novosti Ukraine" Kirill Vyshinsky arrested in Ukraine needs to be released immediately, the speaker of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov has told on November 2 journalists, TASS reports.

according to Peskov, "Vyshinsky has to be immediately released, it is not a subject for any exchanges". So he has answered a question why Moscow doesn't agree with offers of Kiev to exchange Vyshinsky for the Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko.

Peskov has said that Vyshinsky's arrest - "this direct violation in general all international rules, the principle of freedom of the press because actually he is arrested for journalism".

Answering a question of the correspondent the UNIAN in Russia of Roman Tsimbalyuk, Peskov has noted that Vyshinsky's activity differed in nothing, for example, from Tsimbalyuk's work in Moscow.

In the same day Vyshinsky was detained on suspicion of treason. On May 17 the court has arrested him. The measure of restraint for Vyshinsky was prolonged till December 28. The prosecutor's office intends to ask for him 12 years of prison.
