MotoGP: An essence of problems of Yamaha M1 not Valentino Rossi's partner is confident in electronics, and in the engine,

The right hand of Valentino Rossi in VR46 Riders Academy - Alberto Tebaldi who joins the team of the 9-fold champion practically from the first days of his career in MotoGP, has said that the root of problems with YZR-M1 (2017-18) is hidden in the engine, and it has no decision here and now.

In an interview to the Italian media, Tebaldi has confirmed that until the end of a season the motorcycle "won't go" because the plant not in the right to interfere with engines which development is preserved before end of the Grand Prix of Valencia.

"I think what will improve some aspects of Yamaha until the end of a season, but considering existing regulations, it is necessary to wait for the next year to see serious changes, - Tebaldi has told. - But we have a confidence in the capacity of Yamaha, including, on historically "convenient" tracks where are always competitive. Yamaha does excellent motorcycles. We speak about prototypes of 2004-2005 which could win titles. It was the fantastic bike - in everything! In 2007 in Yamaha there was the real crisis, like present, but then there was a break and 2008-2009 have brought Vale two victories in a row. Actually, Yamaha now - the 2nd motorcycle plant in the world [after Honda] as in general, in the industry, and in sport, and this situation steadily is already a lot of years".

In Mizano, on tests of MotoGP in Rossi's garage has appeared the engineer Michele Gadda, the head of department of development of superbikes of YZF-R1 for the World Cup. Gadda has brought R1 to competitive level in WSBK, and now he is attracted for the purpose of improvement of a prototype. But time will be required to resolve the collected issues.

"Today we under big pressure from Ducati and Honda, - continues Tebaldi. - Everything is dictated by that level which they have set from the middle of last season and continue to set now. Even Suzuki draws in. We are compared. Our results compare, and on paper, we far behind. In practice, we are very close, but the 1st place in a race only one, and we didn't see it more than a year. It is psychologically difficult to cope with it, strong pressure from all directions. But we believe in success of a mission".
