Filaret: The Ukrainian church never was autocephalous


The head of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev patriarchy Filaret said that the decision of the Synod of Universal patriarchy the Ukrainian church for the first time for more than one thousand years will gain independence.

that he counts on voluntary creation of Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

"That voluntarily, - strong. And what violently, - collapses then... We still will think how to us to work further to create uniform orthodox church, without violating the rights and freedoms of citizens of Ukraine", - Filaret summed up.
